I Have Small Bubbles In My Mouth

Diminutives, endearments and company (a few) What are the names

When he was small, the teacher gave great importance to the nouns (or common names). And do not neglect this important corollary
consists of the alterations (pet names, diminutive, augmentative and pejorative).

Apparently easy.
Take a noun (whether male or female) in the singular or plural.

female
Example: home / case. Example
the male: Men / boys. Want

the diminutive? Take the last letter [* cas *-], and add-ine,-ine,-ine,-ini
casino, casino / / kid / kids but also:-etta,-ette,-pound, pound-

lodge, cabins / / boy / boys

you like the nickname? Do as above, but add-Ucci, Uccea-,-Uccio-Ucci
little house / little houses / / ragazzuccio / ragazzucci ... I confess to having heard them maybe once or twice in a lifetime. Do you want

accretive? +-Ona,-one-one-oni
big house, big house / / boy, boys

you the worst? +-Acci, Acce-,-Accio, Acci-(but- Astro-ònzolo, iciàttolo-,-ùcolo :)
Casaccia, Casaccia / / bad boy, bad boys

Sounds easy, but then there are the usual ingarbugliapensieri ...

if I wanted to make a word + includes diminutive pet name? You can do and can not be done: for example, little house there, but not ragazzinetto exist.

But take the case of dog: canine
exists, but is a tooth
puppy dog \u200b\u200band are therefore the diminutive (which already looks like a pet name), while there is also little dog, makes me think that the dog in question is small, which is tender, but not necessarily to be nice.

The fact that the diminutive has expanded, occupying the space of endearment, while the actual term of endearment has taken a restrictive nature, I would say also characterized with contempt.
One thing is not really pretty pricey, it gives the rate of sufficiency. Of course, I speak the everyday language of today.

Cagnone and cagnolone for augmentative and mutt for the worst. As you can see the problem of dog is not in the suffix, but the root of the word acquires a * g (* can become ca g n *).

And I would have to say more. But I'll stop here for now.

false For changes that follow, the source is wikipedia

Examples

  • augmentative False: bang / rectangle, butter / gully rooster / gallon, lesson / lesson plan / steering column, peak-pick, old man / ball
  • false diminutives: bang / loot, if / casino, crazy / morning, mule / mill, heel / turkey
  • False pejorative: goodbye / bivouac, seal / focaccia, octopus / calf
  • false endearments: reel / aspect / bubble bill , magpie / gazelle, magpie / Gazette, sage towel, printing / crutch, vat / dining
  • Change the gender trap / Trapdoor, shows / exhibitions, banks / bank, glue neck

time to eat during the day

breakfast - by Jacqueline Spaccini © 2011
say that we think that there is a rule only breakfast the lunch and dinner .
schedules across Italy.

I. breakfast (6:30 a.m. to 9:00 a.m.)
II. Lunch (12h-14h)

III. dinner (19h-21h)

But no.

Not to mention that, in a time long gone, the meal was breakfast, lunch and dinner was.

But for some, breakfast is the petit-déjeuner French lunch to déjeuner and dinner to dîner .

But there is also snack ( goûter French), word is generally used in Italy for the afternoon snack of children (although the etymological dictionary describes it as "eating Vespers", not as what kids, in short).

And there is also the pusigno ( the French souper not to be confused with the collation ), once only "snack" fine, just a nibble out Dall'Ora, then a sort of mini -dinner on the use of actors, very late (after midnight anyway), sometimes even in one large pot (the so-called "spaghetti" of midnight).

mid-morning breakfast, is usually designated by a foreign word English snack (once existed snacks bar, Italy), break (= break) or s dot midmorning [t] (the proletarian casse-croûte ).

to me - just talking about it - is already hungry.
