I went back to the Meadows after 8 months! From January to now seems to have changed nothing, except the snow!

the first Sunday in August, many small families happy festive Pratoni filled with blankets and tables laden with every delicacy. Throngs of bikers break the stillness of the place with their fast cars, the square is packed with cars. Apparently a tourist resort all over.

Two things have changed, the former chair of the Virgin Mary has gone into retirement, no extension will allow her to leave, this is really the end of its service life and the new station of the chairlift / gondola rises a few meters from the old bully.

Prati di Tivo in recent years has often been at the center of criticism, then in 2003 after a reshuffle of the corporate figures, came to light two new ski lifts. There was talk of a revival and a turning point of the historic resort of Teramo.

Today we talk about the new phantasmagoric plant "Telemix", the second in Italy, and chairs for 4 people to 8 eggs. There was also, finally, a system of avalanche control and the installation of the station. Finally we talk about the exorbitant that this toy will cost 12.5 million €.

I would like to share this reflection, in recent years, the snow never comes before 15 December and mid April is already on the way to the sea. In these four months, the station sees a fair number of appearances but by the end of April to mid-June Prati di Tivo is deserted, desolate and inhospitable. Why?

Then I have a myriad of "why" unresolved!

Because there is an illusion that the only way to work and that of the lifts and you invest 12 million euro?

Because 20 years have passed since the Camp Yarkum "was closed and no solution is found to reopen it?

Why do we speak of decades of a ring of cross-country to offer a viable alternative to cross-country track?

Because there is an accommodation to the young people to enable less wealthy to enjoy the Gran Sasso?

Why do not you invest on minor sports, mountain bike trails, ski bob winter and summer, a totem for sport climbing, which can host competitions at the national level, the Bungy Jumping, First Flyer , rafting, canoeing, kayaking, orienteering and survival centers, centers equitrekking?

You can not think of the rebirth of a town without regenerating its vision for tourism. I think you have to offer quality services, which affect a diverse target and you can enjoy not only in the 3 months in summer and winter 3.
